This beautiful RS tribute car was originally purchased during the restoration and is only now back on the market as the owner has bought another car from during its full restoration. Canford Classics imported the base car (a 1972 911)  from the USA and fully stripped the shell. The car was media blasted and any rust removed and replaced using factory Porsche panels including correct RS rear flares. The rust free shell was fully sealed using correct sprayable sealer for protection and then painted throughout Porsche Viper green and fitted with black RS decals. The works undertaken are extensive, all parts, restored, rebuilt and detailed as per Canford Classics level of restoration. All new bearings, bushes and rubbers throughout, all the chrome has been re-plated, new headlights with chromed surrounds, new rear lights and fitted new indicator lenses, new screen, new Porsche LHD dash top, etc. The original fuch wheels are 7 x 15s on the front and 8  x 15s on the rear.  A full engine rebuild by Canford Classics using fully prepared 7R cases (case savers, shuffled pinned plus oil by pass modifications), original 2.7RS barrels and pistons, fully rebuilt and ported heads, fully rebuilt MFI system (rebuilt throttle bodies and RS bored plastic stacks) fitted with all new injectors, full new stainless steel exhaust, new oil cooler etc. The engine produced 212bhp on the rolling road at Bob Watson’s. The engine is also fully detailed engine all magnesium parts stripped and re-chromated, rebuilt alternator, new Canford Classics fan shroud, rebuilt starter motor, fully stripped and detailed fan, new drive shafts.  Full new oil cooler system with refurbished oil tank, new thermostat, all new oil lines, new sill lines and one of our new 73RS oil coolers. Fully rebuilt gearbox fitted with a new LSD at 40%.  New interior with leather NEW front sport seats, re-trimmed rear seats, 1/4 panels and rear shelf again in full leather,  new correct salt and pepper carpets, new headliner, all the dash gauges are fully rebuilt with correct 7200rpm tach and also a fully rebuilt 180mph speedo, leather 380mm steering wheel. Full suspension strip, detail and rebuild also using reproduction RS specific rear trailing arms, plus a full set of new adjustable spring plates, all the ARB bar system is rebuilt and the rear uses an 18mm set up.  The entire braking system is new, new master cylinder, all new brake lines, discs and fully rebuilt calipers. The fronts are the larger 3.2 versions again all rebuilt.
