This 1968 911 was a real barn find being stored away for many years. The shell was very rusty and full mechanical and body restoration was required. The car was fully stripped and media blasted so the extent of the rust and previous repairs could be clearly assessed. The shell required many factory new panels including a NOS torsion bar tube plus many localised repair sections to be made. The body welding work was undertaken by Barry Carter. Once completed the shell was media blasted again and prepared to be sprayed with sealer as per the factory finished. The car received a full body colour coat in slate grey. All parts have been refurbished and rebuilt, including the engine and gear box, full rebuild of the weber carbs, the entire interior was re-trimmed and a pair of Deser seats fitted using our own seat mounting brackets, the entire car has been fully re-wired and the original steel wheels were re-chromed.
Now completed the engine has been tuned on a rolling road at Bob Watson Engineering and the suspension correctly set up. The finished car is now with the new owner.
