911 ST Tribute race car- fresh pics

Canford Classics is currently building a ST 911. The theme of this ST is based on an original racing ST that raced between 1972-74, specifically  in the Grand Prix de Spa 7.5.1972 (spa 1000 km).

Canford Classics sourced a very good shell as the basis for this project. We commissioned the manufacture of new “hand made” steel ST arches which have been fitted to the car. The shell was stripped and media blasted before been race prepped thus conforming to regulations. After media blasting it was apparent the shell needed a rear wing and outer sills which was undertaken by Chesterton Coachworks.  At this stage the shell was re-enforced being seem welded, additional webbing around the suspension points and also the strut tops.

The engine is a twin plugged short stroke 3.2 ltr motor with 300 bhp, induction 46 PMOs. Full roll cage with race seats and harnesses. original Porsche 8 and 9 inch fuchs, fully rebuilt everything, 40% ZF LSD, rebuilt 915 gearbox, upgrade suspension and brakes, etc

Upon completion the car will be for sale, so any interested parties please contact us.  Use as a fun road  or a track day blast. This ST Tribute will be road legal and ready to have a lot of fun.

Please review the pictures below to see the quality and extent of the restoration.  The list of works done and parts used is huge on this car, and thus for a full break down please call.

This ST was recently used as a show car within a Porsche OPC show room and I have added some pictures.
